When I was scrolling through Instagram a few weeks back I couldn't help but notice a Gilmore Girls related picture. Turns out the wonderful sweet company Care Crates was doing a Gilmore Girls themed giveaway, naturally I had to enter.
Anyone who knows me knows that Gilmore Girls is my show, I have watched it since day one when it aired back in 2000. Come on it was a show about a Mother and Daughter who were best friends and the Mothers name was Lorelei. My Mom's name is Lorelei, and believe it or not her and I actually were super tight when I was a teenager. I watched girls around me treat their moms so badly and I never understood it because I loved my Mom and we did everything together.
So this show just hit me in so many places, it was also a way I could escape into a fun quirky town that helped me forget my teenage woes. I have continued watching it over the years, I have all the seasons on DVD and when I am folding laundry or need some girly mom time I pop it in and watch a few episodes.
I have to tell you when the rumor of a revival started floating around I hoped it would happen because I didn't like how it ended. The revival didn't disappoint but for all of you who have finished it, it leaves me wanting more even though that's how Amy wanted it to end in the first place. I will always want more though, I really love those characters and the little town of Stars Hollow.
Back to this awesome package I entered to win.... Guess what I won it!! It was super exciting that I won it and I was seriously so pumped. My husband thinks I am crazy lucky but not really, just once in awhile. This was the time to be lucky though!
Included in the package was:
1- "In Omnia Paratus 'You jump, I jump, Jack'" T-Shirt
1- Package of Double Dipped Caramel Apples from Mrs. Call's Candy Company
1- Pair of Woven Pear donuts socks
1- card that says "We go together like Babette and Miss Patty"
1- "Eat Like A Gilmore" Cookbook by Kristi Carlson
Seriously isn't that awesome! I squealed when I opened it up yesterday! First off seeing that bright yellow and white polka dot package in the mail was like a burst of sunshine, but also because this company has really cute care packages.
I highly suggest going to their website:
Check them out and see their cute unique packages that you can send to a loved one. They have packages for new moms, comforting ones, season themed ones, get well, manly crate, school crate and so on. They have so many options, they are unique gifts and I think everyone would look forward to getting one in their mailbox.
