It's that time of year again, the time of year where you have a list of Christmas movies you want to sit down and watch. I know I have quite a few that I traditionally watch every Christmas season. There are just some movies that get you in the Christmas spirit, and there are some movies that remind me of my childhood and family traditions growing up.
So for your upcoming movie nights as a family, I have you covered for the perfect snack!
15 cups of air popped popcorn
1 pound of white chocolate
1/4 cup of large red sugar
1/4 cup of red, green, white round sprinkles
1 - 176 gram package of white chocolate peppermint M&M's
1 - 176 gram package of red and green M&M's
Melt the white chocolate. Grab a large bowl and add the air popped popcorn, pour the melted white chocolate on top. With a spatula gently fold the popcorn into the white chocolate.
Sprinkle on the red sugar and round sprinkles. Fold again.
Line a large baking sheet, or two normal baking sheets with parchment paper. Dump the popcorn out onto the prepared baking sheets. Evenly sprinkle the M&M'S over the popcorn.
Either let the popcorn harden on the countertop over a few hours, or place the baking sheets in the fridge for 10 minutes. When the chocolate has hardened again then break the popcorn up and serve right away.
You can also place in airtight containers and store for up to a week in the pantry.
This is a great popcorn mix to make to give away as a gift during Christmas. What makes this extra special is the white chocolate peppermint M&M'S, they just add that little extra something to the mix.
This is a super easy and simple recipe, it is great to get the kids involved in making it. My daughter loved helping, and by helping I mean sneaking some M&M'S.
