It's hard to believe my little big guy is now three. He got his nick name "Little big guy" from the nurses in the hospital, he was over 9 pounds and was almost 23 inches long, he was bigger then every baby in the hospital that night. All the nurses just loved how squishy he already was, he was a bruiser from the moment he was born. No he is no longer so little and is now considered a preschooler! Man the toddler phase flew by with him, now we are on to different stages that I have to remind myself are normal because my daughter acted the same way at 3. My little man wanted to have a dinosaur themed birthday, so we went off to Party City and bought what we could do decorate the house. We also bought a 5 foot tall dinosaur balloon that was a real treat to get into the back of my car! Let's just say my face was in the dinos butt and I had to shove that in as hard as I could, strangers were watching and laughing. Glad I made their day. That balloon is almost as tall as me, which isn't that hard to do because I am only 5'4...on the dot. We ordered pizza had chips and veggies and I made some super cute dinosaur cupcakes. Those were super simple to make, they are just my go to chocolate cake recipe that is a family recipe and then I made simple buttercream icing and then used royal blue and canary yellow gel food dye for the colours. I used a wide icing tip and just swirled on top and then placed a small dinosaur toy on top, then placed a cookies and cream mini egg and with sparkly green gel icing made "grass" around the eggs. The cupcakes were enjoyed, the pizza was all eaten and we had a great little party with family to celebrate Colton. This picture cracks me up because he is clearly enjoying it! Happy Birthday my little man, glad you came to our little family, you made it whole! Love you to the moon and back!
