Ever since I can remember I have loved taking pictures. I love photography, I love capturing moments forever in some form. I love being able to look back on pictures and see how much we have grown or look back at loved ones who are no longer with us. My Mother loves genealogy, and she has stacks and stacks of pictures that span well over 100 years. I remember always looking through these pictures and imagining what it would be like to be those people in the pictures. I have taken photography all throughout high school and then took a few courses in University. It is something that I just love to do. During the last few years I have been taking a lot of pictures of food, It's my thing, and I think seeing food helps with your brain to want to eat the food. I am not one who loves cookbooks without pictures, I love pictures in the book because I like to see what I am going to make. To me pictures are very important to my recipes and blog. Last Christmas my husband bought me a beautiful Nikon D3400. He said to me "This is for you to take pictures of food... and the kids" I have done both and we have filled up a few memory cards. I have had a few people recently ask me to take pictures for them of their family, engagements and then I wanted to capture the old family Copithorne barn before the government rips it all apart and builds a big ugly dry dam on it (another story). Anyhow I wanted to make sure to have pictures of that beautiful old barn. I decided today instead of sharing a recipe I would share some of the work I have done recently. I am in no way a professional, but it is something that I really love to do. What has been fun is to watch my skill level grow over time. I love seeing it in my food pictures as well. What I love is being able to grow into this and to be able to explore and try new things. I believe if you are not growing and learning new things, then you are stagnant and not moving. I want to continue to grow and learn new things in this life. Plus I get to capture forever memories with just a click of a button.
