You know the bowl, the one that is filled to the brim with a snack combination. You wonder... do they have nuts in this one? Is it going to be savoury or sweet? Do they have the proper ratio of all the ingredients? Do I just eat the ones I like and leave all the rest? What I am talking about is the big bowl of nuts and bolts or party mix. There always seems to be a bowl with some sort of mix at large parties, especially during the holidays. For me I don't really like nuts in mine, I like mine to be fully carb loaded. This mix that I combined is super kid friendly and my kids love it. It makes a HUGE batch, this is not an exaggeration. I had to use a big turkey roaster and a large cookie sheet to make it all, and three large bowl to mix it all. So you are warned! Smoky Ranch Party Munch Mix Ingredients: 8 cups of crunchy Cheetos 8 cups of original Bugles 8 cups of original Cheerios 8 cups of Life cereal 8 cups of Gold Fish 8 Cups of small pretzels 1 1/2 cups of salted butter 2 packages of Hidden Valley dry ranch mix, of another brand 2 tablespoons of liquid smoke 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce Directions: Preheat oven to 290F. Line a large roaster with tin foil. In a very large bowl or 2 to 3 large bowl equally combine all the dry ingredients. Melt the butter in the microwave, add the liquid smoke, Worcestershire sauce and ranch mix. Whisk together. Pour evenly over the dry ingredients and with youe clean hands or a large spoon, gently coat the mix with the butter and flavouring. Pour into the roaster, if there is not enough room place the rest on a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes, making sure to stir the party mix every 5 minutes to prevent burning and to allow for even drying. Once the mix looks dry and the butter has soaked in and it is no longer wet, remove from the oven and allow to cool. Package into Ziploc bags or an airtight container. What is absolutely awesome about this mix is the smoky flavour that comes from the liquid smoke, combined with the ranch seasoning, it just makes for an awesome munch mix. Normally I pick through munch mixes, I am partial towards the Cheetos and Bugles, but this mix I eat it all! Happy Friday! Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the holiday parties!

I love liquid smoke, so when I was thinking about what to add to my mix I was like "oooo smoke and ranch... YES!"

I just know a lot of kids who hate nuts, so I figured this would be fairly safe for anyone who has allergies or for kids who have weird food aversions!

Actually I am not either, mainly because I don't like everything in it and pick through it. So I wanted to make one I wouldn't pick through!

I often forget that I have a family of 4 verses the family of 8 I grew up in. I tend to make huge batches of food and realize who is going to eat it all!
